The 2014 Oyster Cook-off and Craft Beer Festival at the Hangout in Gulf Shores Alabama brings together celebrity chefs from across the U.S. as well as a long list of well-known Gulf coast restaurateurs of this popular event from Nov.7th to 9th, the event is presented by Alabama Gulf Seafood.

Friday Nov 7th : Craft Beer Festival Kickoff Party
    Kick off the weekend right!
    Try over 60 beers from more than 25 craft brewers.
    Live music from the Mulligan Brothers, Steelism and a national act to be announced.

Taste of the Island at the Wharf at Orange Beach Event Center

The 7th Annual Taste of the Islands on Dec. 6, a tropical affair offering local cuisine, cocktails, entertainment and a silent auction, will be hosted by Mystical Order of Mirams.  This year they will host over 35 restaurants from Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and surrounding areas. The Wharf Conference center will be the location for this holiday gala, which will consist of food sampling, all inclusive cocktails and musical entertainment.

The charities of choice are Toys for Tots and Orange Beach Fire & Rescue Ladies Auxiliary. They request that those interested bring an unwrapped toy to benefit local children in need. Musical entertainment will be provided by Modern Eldorados. Make plans to attend this entertaining worthwhile event!

There is a perpetual Trophy for the 1st Place Team, as well as the People’s Choice, with ribbons for all other winning teams.
