Baumhowers Shrimp and BarBQ Fest, Gulf Shores, Gulf State Park

Celebrate spring and southern cuisine with Alabama Crimson Tide and Miami Dolphin Football legend and restaurateur Bob Baumhower and the Alabama State Parks system on a six-event series called Baumhower's ShrimpFest and Barbecue, taking place at five state parks over the course of the next year. The events will be part of the celebration marking the 75th anniversary of the Alabama State Parks system.

Be sure to visit Gulf State Park for the second stop in a series of events to raise awareness of two important local resources: Alabama State Parks and Alabama Gulf Seafood and enjoy: Fresh Boiled Alabama Gulf Coast Shrimp, Gumbo & Bar-B-Q, Former Alabama and Auburn Football Players, Live Music, Kids inflatables. Cost $3 per person to eat.

42nd National Shrimp Festival, Alabama Gulf Coast at Gulf Shores Public Beach

The Annual National Shrimp Festival presented by Zatarain's is held each year during the second full weekend in October on the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores on Alabama's Gulf Coast.  Thanks to our all the generous sponsors the event is FREE to everyone! The Annual National Shrimp Festival is held at the public beach access in Gulf Shores where Hwy. 59 ends and intersects with Hwy. 182.
