Alabama Gulf Coast Birding and Nature Festival
The 2015 Alabama Coastal BirdFest is going to be good - the festival has expanded to offer more of what you love about the Gulf Coast. This year, BirdFest becomes a "birding & nature festival!" The outdoor festival will still offer your favorite expertly guided birding trips to prime spots along the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail, plus adding exciting new trips on foot and by boat that focus more on the great outdoors. There will be opportunities to see and learn more about local plant & wildlife such as alligators, dolphins, wildflowers, pitcher plants, pine forests, butterflies, snakes, turtles, and more. This year's expanded Alabama Coastal BirdFest features 15 brand new trips and adventures.
Since 2004, the annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest has welcomed visitors from all over the U.S. and Canada, who come to the Alabama Gulf Coast for a prime viewing-spot of the fall migration. Event includes more than 20 expertly guided tours on land and water, evening speaker (tours & evening events require advance registration) and a free, family-friendly Bird & Conservation Expo will be held on Saturday. the north Gulf Coast is a major stopover for migratory birds from all over North America, the fall is a great time to observe an array of species.
