Gulf Shores Track Improvements Adds to Sizzling Sports Tourism Industry

City leaders are putting the finishing touches on a deal that will bring a collegiate track and field championship to the sportsplex for the next two years and will lay the framework for a future build-out of the recreational site.

Earlier this summer the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Sports Commission received word that Gulf Shores won the bid to host the mid-May NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in 2014 and 2015.
