Don't miss the Bloody Mary 5K Run-Walk at Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores. This annual event is a 5K Run/Walk on flat and fast city and neighborhood streets. A Labor Day weekend tradition that you don't want to miss! The run is on a certified course, and starts in front of Acme Oyster Bar.
The Bloody Mary 5K is the final race in the Run The Coast Summer Series. This is the championship race of the series with cash prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female runners in the run the coast summer series, based on a point system over all 4 races.
Labor Day weekend also "kicks off" football season. A race tradition is showing your team spirit. There will be traditional team spirit awards, so wear your favorite team's colors and be eligible for individual prizes! All events start at 7:30 a.m.
After the races, the post-race party will include free beer, food and Bloody Marys for all runners and walkers over the age of 21, great music, age group awards and folks wearing the really nice race T-shirt.
